11" x 14" Print
Many know and love this charming town along the St. Croix River. Also known as the birthplace of Minnesota and deeply connected to the water around it, it’s a place of natural beauty, historic industry and quaint shops. It’s Stillwater!
I was asked by a local, Stillwater shop (Smith + Trade) to create a print for folks who get to live in this river town and the many, many visitors who enjoy it each year. But making this print was helped greatly by my brother and sister-in-law who are proud residents of Stillwater. Through them we are getting to know all the wonderful nook and crannies and parks and trails and candy shops Stillwater has to offer. They even watched our kids for us while I drove around Stillwater trying to find the right composition for a print. I settled on a hazy, summery moonlit eve from atop the town’s hills, overlooking that beautiful river and its iconic Lift Bridge. You’ll see a few homes tucked in that hillside, as well as the landmark Commander Grain Elevator and one of the many steeple-topped churches that poke out from the trees.
