Raised in Northern Wisconsin, I was lucky to spend most of my childhood enjoying lake life with my family and friends. I cherish those memories and now live on a small lake in Minnesota, creating new stories with our own family.I received my Dad's paddle when he passed away. It was in rough shape.I began the process of restoring it, embracing imperfections and signs of use. I painted it with a design that reminded me of my Dad. It now has a permanent place in our home. My passion is the restoration of old paddles. I transform once forgotten tools into pieces of art. Each paddle carries a history, whether tucked away after years of use or hidden in a cabin or boathouse. Through a careful process of cleaning, sanding, painting and sealing, I revive their original beauty while adding my own touch. I leave imperfections, partial logos, carvings or other characteristics making each paddle unique.   My designs are inspired by nature and the nostalgic charm of lake life. Each paddle was acquired by  searching lake properties, barn sales, flea markets and conversations with locals. The challenge of the hunt is rewarded by all of the nice people willing to tell us their stories! No two paddles are alike, each preserves a small piece of lakeside history.  The tiny flower painted in the corner of each paddle is a nod to my Mom and her love of flowers and family.  Restoring these old paddles is truly a labor of love.
