After a traumatic brain injury, I discovered woodworking as a source of healing, focus, and purpose. Learning CNC machining gave me new ways to combine precision with hands-on craftsmanship, opening the door to deeper creative exploration.I am especially drawn to exotic hardwoods, each with its own color, grain, and personality. I enjoy letting those natural characteristics guide the final design. Rather than forcing materials into a strict outcome, I work with them, allowing the wood to influence the direction of each piece. My work blends function with artistic expression. I create handcrafted items that are meant to be used in daily life, but also appreciated as visual art. Every piece is an opportunity to transform raw material into something meaningful, lasting, and unique.Woodworking has taught me patience, adaptability, and respect for process. No two pieces are ever the same, and I value the natural variation that makes each work distinct.Today, I continue to explore new designs that combine traditional woodworking with modern CNC techniques. My goal is to create pieces that feel grounded, functional, and quietly expressive, while honoring both the material and the personal journey that brought me back to making.
