This refillable journal is designed to hold a single hard-cover book in a standard A5 size (5.8" x 8.3"). The first book is included and replacements are very easy to find online or in stores.
About my process... My leather journals covers are one-of-a-kind and created by me...from start to finish. Each blank cover is cut from one of a variety of leathers. The leather can be smooth, pebbled, or buffed and may include bison, Horween CXL, rugged oil-tan, or vegetable-tanned leather. Tooled patches are made from veg-tanned leather which is carved, tooled, dyed, burnished, and protected with a top coat. Some covers may include a leather-set stone or other embellishment in place of a tooled patch. All additions are stitched to the journal cover by hand using a traditional saddle stitch and premium waxed thread.
