Collection: Hansen House
Good photos capture surprises, whether in color, contrast, lighting or action. The deep dark eyes of a nesting loon. The cold steel of railroad tracks. The passing blur of a cyclist. A bright green toad in a pink lily. I want to capture detail that makes images surprising and interesting on a second or third look.
For years I used photography to support my writing projects and storytelling as a magazine editor and marketer. Soon the images stood on their own, told their own stories. Now I enjoy shooting people, nature and wildlife, in color and black and white, all around the St. Croix Valley.
