My name is Laura Urtel, and I create handmade, stained glass art and decor from my home studio in Stillwater, Minnesota. In addition to being a glass artist, I’m also a wife, a mom to two daughters, and have a full-time career in social work. Stained glass began as a hobby, but quickly became a creative outlet—and a means for self-care—that I’m incredibly grateful to have discovered.Outside the studio, I love spending time outdoors camping, hiking, skiing, and mountain biking. Music is a big part of my creative rhythm too, and I’m always chasing that same sense of spontaneity and joy in my work.Each piece I create is unique and thoughtfully crafted to bring a little color, light, and movement into everyday life!
